Chicco next to me mattress, is made by Suzy and is compatible the next to me crib. It is a hypoallergenic crib mattress, 4cm thick. The mattress is British more made. Because the mattress is 4cm thick, this makes it comfortable and gives extra support to your baby.
The treated mattress cover will to prevent bacterial and fungal growth and dust mites. You can wash to mattress cover at 60°C.
The chicco next to me mattress is made of hypoallergenic foam. The Suzy mattress does not come with a hard baseboard. If you have the original mattress, which comes with the Chicco Next to Me Crib you can take, the wooden base from that and use it’s you need to retain the original board to use with the Suzy mattress.
The mattress is much softer than the original chicco mattress. In addition, you can use it on top of the original hard base of the chicco mattress. Alternatively, you can possibly use on top of the original mattress.
Without the hard base, the mattress will sink around the bars of the chicco cot base.
The mattress is not waterproof but you can always buy a waterproof protector for the mattress not recommended for babies under 6 months, as the mattress has to be breathable. However, you can wipe down the mattress.
The mattress has a microfibre cover and has a full-length zip on the side so you can easy remove the mattress from the cover.
The mattress consists of foam and us surrounded by a layer of softer high-density foam. Mattress has a soft-top layer, which makes it softer for the baby. Easy to use the hardboard out of the original mattress and put it underneath or alternatively can put the new mattress on top of the old one.
This mattress is not compatible with the Chicco Lullago cot.
Mattress is only slightly smaller than the original mattress but this does not cause any problems.
Some complaints that the mattress and cover had a slightly chemical smell when delivered. However, this disappeared after airing the mattress.
